special memories...(campus in the mid-night)

THIS IS SOMETHING SPECIAL (rare too)...

You know why.? Because all of the students never have this memory n this image in their minds... This image is taken on Jan/23/2009, 12.22 AM - just after the declaration of the date of University Fine Arts competition.... In the midnight, we some youths, would be there on the campus with preparations, practices, arrangements etc etc 24 hours 7 days.... Sleepless days.. (food less too.!!) Those who really work hard just for their college... What else other than these sincere efforts keep Payyannur College in the first place in Fine Arts, Sports, Exams etc.? At last the joy that emerges beyond expressions when the college wins.... the result off all our efforts..... its...... its..... yes, really beyond words.... This joy is also for a few people only.... For those who work behind the curtain.... I feel lucky to be one among them.......

Lecturer (SG), assumed the office of the Principal of Payyanur College on 1.4.2005. Mr.K.Narayanan of the Commerce department commenced teaching career in the year 1979 as a lecturer in Sir Syed College, Taliparamba. He continued there until 1984 August when he was appointed as a faculty member of the Commerce department of Payyanur College. Mr.Narayanan who graduated from Sir Syed College took his masters from Calicut University. Keenly interested in the subject of his vocation, Mr.Narayanan is a part-time research scholar working on the “Dynamics of Artisan Industries in Kerala with special reference to Bell Metal (Bronze) Industry in Payyanur Region” with the guidance of his supervising teacher Dr.P.T.Raveendran, Professor & Head of the Dept of Management Studies, Kannur University

Payyanur College History

HISTORY OF PAYYANUR COLLEGE
(brief)
-----------------------------
The College started functioning from 15th July 1965. The Chief Patron, late Vyaghram S. Ramakrishna Iyer, formally inaugurated it. The College started as a junior college affiliated to the Kerala University providing instruction to the maximum of 960 students in the Pre-Degree Courses. In 1968 the College was affiliated to the newly formed Calicut University. Degree Courses were started here in 1969 and Post Graduation in Mathematics in 1984. Later when Kannur University started, this college is shifted from Calicut University. Presently the college is equipping itself with the required academic and infrastructural innovations to get successfully and meritoriously assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, the quality assurance body in higher education.
