PROF C P SIVADAS PASSED AWAY

The eminent teacher and bilingual writer-literary critic Professor C P Sivadas passed away on April 17th. Known for his simple and insightful classes, the professor has been very active in the academic field for a very long period and the academic and the intellectual community of Keralam has lost a genuine teacher and scholar. Like R Viswanathan who left us a few years ago CPS has been a kind source of great inspiration to academics and a good friend and well wisher of the teaching community. We remember with gratitude now that CPS inaugurated the Department of English Alumni association a few years ago with an enlightening speech and gave us a direction in this matter. The faculty and students of Payyanur College join the bereaved family and pay homage to this remarkable teacher who left us forever.
